Interior design in St Albans

Nara is currently on site in St Albans with the full refurbishment and interior design of a café on Victoria Street — a live commission rather than a study, photographed during the fit-out.

Work in St Albans and the wider Hertfordshire area covers both residential renovations and small hospitality projects. The commercial units and older houses here tend to be tight, characterful and awkward in plan, which puts the emphasis on spatial planning and on joinery designed for the specific room rather than adapted to it.

On the Victoria Street project the studio is developing everything from the interior concept through spatial planning, material specification, bespoke banquette seating and lighting to the final styling, coordinating with the contractor as the fit-out progresses.
